Jay Cardiello Self Portrait

Jay Cardiello is one of the most sought after and recognized fitness professionals in the world. Triple-certified in strength and conditioning, fitness training and nutrition, he is a personal trainer to celebrities, a regular contributor to leading media outlets, a published author, and an advisor to global brands.

Jay has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Sofia Vergara, Julianne Hough, Kristen Taekman, Minka Kelly, and teams in the MLB and NFL, among countless others. He is the Fitness Editor at Large for Shape, a regular contributor to Men’s Fitness, the Resident Celebrity Fitness Editor for both Star and OK! Magazines, and a member of the Advisory Board for Muscle &am Fitness. Jay has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Bloomberg TV, The Real Housewives of New York, MTV, CBS, and in Self, The New York Times, Us Weekly, InStyle, Time and Elle.

He is the founder of JCORE, which offers his multi-faceted wellness program: the JCORE Accelerated Body Transformation system, which has been called one of “the hottest at-home celeb workouts by US Weekly and the “workout taking over Wall Street” by Bloomberg TV. He is also co-founder (along with Exercise is Medicine) of Off the Scale, a Health Care Initiative Program developed to combat obesity. Jay is the author of Cardio Core 4 x 4 (Rodale 2012) and has collaborated with Microsoft, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Essentia, Sargento and Kind Snacks. He was named the #1 Motivator in Health and Wellness by Shape in 2013 and ranked by Greatist along with Michelle Obama and Dr. Oz on a list of those who have made an impact on health and wellness worldwide.

is Jay’s mantra and the theory behind all exercise methods, products and information that he delivers. He is celebrated for his no-fail workouts for the time-crunched – 20-minute workouts that require no equipment or weights. His body-weight model of conditioning and training synergistically combines incredibly effective cardiovascular, strength, agility and core balance exercises that rapidly transform the body to burn fat and tone faster. Each of his programs requires just one’s body, 20 minutes a day 4-days a week, and a 4x4 foot space. Jay’s personal story is a testament to his expertise – he developed the protocols that rebuilt his own body after suffering a major spinal injury that required 13 major surgeries.

Jay is a graduate of the College of William & Mary, is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the International Sports Sciences Association, and is a member of IDEA Health and Fitness Association. Jay devotes much of his spare time to such charities as the Harlem Children’s Zone, St. Jude’s, City Harvest and The Families of SMA. He resides in New York with his wife and young son.
